SUNSHINE DURATION METER MS-093

The most obvious feature of MS-093 Sunshine Duration Meter is a specialy designed rotating mirror that reflects the sun's direct component onto a spectrally flat pyroelectric sensor. This sensor outputs a differential coefficient as a voltage that is proportinal to the direct solar irradiance. By the adoption of these features, MS-093 measures only the direct solar radiation not being affected by the diffuse radiation. WMO defines the duration of sunshine as the amount of time when the direct solar irradiance exceeds 120W/m2.
