UV-A is not strongly absorbed by ozone, hence it is only weakly affected by decreases in the ozone layer.  UV-B, however, is strongly affected by changes in ozone concentration, and represents only 0.2% of total solar radiation.  Spectral composition and its geometrical distribution in the sky are significantly affected by changes in atmospheric conditions.  EKO's UV radiometers use well-designed optical system to measure the small amount of UV precisely and to improve good cosine response.  MS-212W has temperature stabilizer to improve the stability of measurement.
